OHS Marching Band Information for the 2011 Marching Band Season
The OHS Marching band is an athletic group of instrumental musicians who incorporate choreographed movement in the form of drill and dance with their musical performance. The marching band includes approximately 80-100 musicians playing brass, woodwind or percussion instruments. Auditions are held each spring for every instrument in the band.
The Ola High School Colorguard is an auxiliary unit that performs with the marching band at all performances. Utilizing flag, rifle and dance work, this auxiliary unit is a select group that serves to visually portray the music and add another dimension to the image of the band. Each member must audition for membership on the colorguard, and auditions for the group are held each spring.
